Shelly BMW of Orange County Confirms, BMW Is Set To Unveil The New 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible

January 24, 2011 – Buena Park, Calif., – Shelly BMW of Orange County in Buena Park confirms, BMW will unveil the new 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible this fall.
The new BMW 6 Series Convertible will have two engine variants, an eight-cylinder powerplant that will produce 300 kW/407 hp. While an exclusive variant of the six-cylinder in-line engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo, direct injection and VALVETRONIC –generating 235 kW/320 hp – has been developed for the BMW 640i Convertible.
Both engines team up as standard with an eight-speed Sports automatic gearbox. Standard-fitted BMW Efficient Dynamics features include the Auto Start-Stop function in the BMW 640i Convertible.
“This is a great model for BMW consumers,” said Darren Richie, Shelly BMW’s General Manager. “It offers drivers power, efficiency and luxurious style,” he said.
The 2012 BMW 6 Series Convertible is scheduled to be available beginning fall of 2011.
BMW customers will be able to purchase the new model in unique colors such as Tansanite Blue metallic. The new model will come equipped with special wheels and stylish interior trims.
