The Hundreds x Garfield Collaboration and Pop Up Art Gallery Exhibition Launch Event December 9th

Los Angeles, Ca (December 07, 2010) - Worldwide apparel brand The Hundreds and cartoon icon Garfield partner up for a group art show opening this Thursday night, December 9th, 2010, at The Hundreds x Garfield Pop-Up Shop and Gallery in Santa Monica, California. The event and show commemorate their recent collaboration on a full apparel, accessories, and novelty line featuring Garfield interpretative work from eighteen artists including Barry McGee, Usugrow, Mark Dean Veca, Dave Kinsey, Claw, and The Cobra Snake.

“Everyone has a little bit of Garfield in them. So we are very proud to present, for the first time ever, a gathering of the world’s foremost contemporary artists from a spectrum of genres, all united in their homage to Garfield. Just as Garfield inspired The Hundreds, we hope that The Hundreds’ partnership with Garfield may inspire you.”

The event will feature a very special public signing with Jim Davis, Garfield’s creator, as well as catered lasagna and a life size Garfield character. In addition, the original voice cast and writer/director of “The Garfield Show” will also be in attendance. The Hundreds x Garfield Pop-Up Shop and Gallery will remain open for the remainder of December, and the artwork will be for sale starting opening night, as well as online at www.thehundreds.com beginning December 10th.
