On 20 Nov 2010, “Singapore’s Celebrity Magic Duo” (Channel News Asia), J C Sum & Ning, will debut public sneak previews of their all-new interactive illusion show “Illusions of the Mind”.

For the past five years, J C & Ning have dominated the grand illusion scene in Asia with their high profile mega illusions, TV appearances and live shows. Their brand of visual urban illusions have made them one of the very top illusion teams in the world.

“Illusions of the Mind” represents a new milestone journey in illusions with 100% new material featuring original visual and psychological illusions. The most unique element of the new show is that it is 100% interactive and involves the audience in all the acts.

In Jan 2010, the duo successfully predicted the winning numbers of the 4D national lottery and this new show takes that mega stunt a step further.

Highlights of the show include a blindfolded Ning reading minds, a fascinating multi-layered magic game show and a version of their “Impossible 4D Prediction”.

“South East Asia’s first professional female magician” (Channel News Asia), Ning, says: “Just as we took the concept of the mega illusion to new levels, we are taking interactivity in an illusion show to another level. The show represents an evolution in our approach to illusion shows.”

J C, who first started working on the concept of the show in 2002, comments: “It might be thought that this is what is known in the trade as a “mentalism” show. But, while we do adopt pure mentalism techniques, no mentalist on earth will agree it is a mentalism show. This is really our marriage of an illusion show and a mentalism show, a blend of visual and psychological acts that make this one of the most unique illusion shows in the world.”

The show is part of the National Heritage Board’s 2010 “Explore Singapore” campaign that J C & Ning are the main highlights for. The public can catch free sneak previews of “Illusions of the Mind” at:
