New Product Created for Women is a Hit with Men

Durham, NC - A new product designed for baby boomer women is turning out to be quite popular with middle-aged men. It’s a new card game called Don’t Ask, and was created by baby boomer entrepreneur Beverly Mahone. “I am very excited to see men playing and engaging in serious dialogue about their answers,” she says.

The object of the game is to see which team (of two) can score 10 points first by correctly matching each other’s answers based on the questions asked. One of the questions reads: While shopping in a store, you witness a little girl shoplifting. What would you do? a) Report her to the store security b) Tell her mother c) Say nothing d) Offer to pay for the item.

Mahone says she wanted to develop something that would not only be fun for mature women--but would also serve as a great way to stimulate conversation. “There isn’t much on the market for grown women to play. Don’t Ask gives us an opportunity to see how like-minded we are under certain circumstances. Would we lie or take the high road? It also creates engaging discussions.” She says now she has discovered men are willing to open up and talk about real life issues, while having fun in the process.

Prior to launching her new card game, Mahone tested it out on several male and female focus groups. She says it was very well received. “I definitely think it’s a game that’s going to catch on.”
