Irvine BMW Proud To Host The Inaugural 2010 Poker Run Benefiting Pediatric Cancer Research

October 20, 2010 – Irvine, Calif. – Irvine BMW is excited to announce they will be hosting the Inaugural 2010 Poker Run on Sunday, October 24, benefiting the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation.
The event will take place at the Irvine BMW/Irvine MINI dealership. Registration for the event will open at 8:30am, with the event will begin at 10am.
The first 200 participants to sign up for the event will receive a free shirt. Participants will also have a chance to win $1,000 for the best hand.
“We’re honored to host the Poker Run. We avidly support the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation, and all the work they do for children with cancer,” said Irvine BMW’s General Manager, Steve Rudkin. “Irvine BMW strives to constantly discover new ways to weave our dealerships into the fabric of our surrounding communities by helping local charities,” he said.
Since 1982, the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation has raised over $22 million to fund cutting edge research that leads to medically sound treatment protocols for childhood cancer. The Inaugural 2010 Poker Run will help further efforts to bring awareness and raise funds for the organization.
The Los Angeles Laker girls will be in attendance at the finish line of the event to meet and greet participants. A continental breakfast will be served to participants and Peppino’s restaurant will provide lunch after the event.
