Boost Mobile Expands Boost Walkie-Talkie Service to Canada and South America

The exclusive pay-as-you-go service provides under a second digital walkie-talkie connections between the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Peru.

Boost Mobile customers are charged a flat rate of $1.50 a day to use the Boost Walkie-Talkie feature with unlimited minutes anywhere in the United States. In addition, an international surcharge of $.20 a minute will apply to international Boost Walkie-Talkie use from the United States to Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina and Peru. An international roaming surcharge of $.10 a minute will apply to international Boost Walkie-Talkie use from Baja Mexico, and an international roaming surcharge of $.20 a minute will apply to international Boost Walkie-Talkie use from Canada.

-- Boost Mobile customers can seamlessly send and receive walkie-talkie calls while roaming in Baja Mexico or in TELUS Mobility’s Mike network coverage areas in Canada. Additional charges may apply.

-- Boost Mobile customers cannot roam in Peru, Argentina, Brazil or Mexico (excluding Baja, Mexico); however Boost customers can place calls to those countries.

Additionally, NII Holdings subscribers can now send and receive walkie-talkie calls with NII Holdings or Nextel subscribers in NII Holdings coverage areas in Brazil, Argentina and Peru or in Boost Mobile or Nextel coverage areas. TELUS Mobility subscribers can send and receive walkie-talkie calls with TELUS Mobility Mike, Nextel or Boost Mobile subscribers anywhere in TELUS Mobility, Nextel or Boost Mobile coverage areas.
