Orlando, FL (Sign Expo, Booth #758), April 6, 2006, Agfa Graphics is demonstrating its newest inkjet engines and solutions at the International Sign Association’s (ISA) 60th Annual Sign Expo, now underway in Orlando, FL (USA). The new inkjet printers that attendees can see in the Agfa booth (#758), being demonstrated for the first time in North America, include the :Anapurna L and XL for roll-to-roll and rigid applications.

Both models offer high-volume industrial printing applications for flexible and rigid media using Agfa’s UV-curable :Anapurna ink. Maximum print width is 63 inches for :Anapurna L and 98.5 inches for :Anapurna XL. The Dual-Mode System on the XL enables fast printing of two half-sized media simultaneously. Additional features include:

* Maximum resolution of 363x725 dpi
* Borderless printing capability (no white edges)
* White ink printing
* Low-cost, user-replaceable UV-curing lamps for low cost of ownership.

Both the :Anapurna L and XL are now available in North America.

Demonstrations are also being held of the new :Grand Sherpa Universal AM (65 and 90 inches wide), which features the new Agfa Bulk Ink Supply System, called :ABISS. Customers in North America have quickly become fans of the new Universal system. The :Grand Sherpa Universal AM’s inks provide improved color saturation, guarantee a uniform gloss appearance, and dry much faster than typical inks. :ABISS offers users longer automated production cycles resulting in worry-free, unattended printing.

“Whatever the printing application, Agfa has the solution,” said Stephen Cutler of Agfa’s Screen, Sign and Display Group, North America. “The two new :Anapurna systems will help users offer even greater quality output and allow them to expand their product and services offering to their customers.” The International Sign Association’s 60th Annual Sign Expo runs through April 8th in Orlando, FL.
