TNS announces new regional CEO for Latin America

Appointment - Ignacio Galceran as Regional CEO Latin America effective from 1 January 2011

London - TNS, the world’s largest custom research company, has appointed Ignacio Galceran as Regional CEO Latin America effective from 1 January 2011. Reporting to Chief Executive Pedro Ros, Ignacio joins TNS from Synovate where he has spent the past eight years of his career, most recently as CEO Iberia and Latin America.

A native of Argentina, Ignacio brings to TNS a wealth of market research experience gained with over 20 years in the industry and extensive knowledge of working with major multi-national clients through more than 18 years of being based in the US. Prior to joining Synovate, he worked for Roper ASW (now part of GFK) and holds a master’s degree in Survey Research from the University of Connecticut.

Ignacio will join the Global Executive Committee and will be supported by a strong country network in Latin America. He will relocate from his current home in Miami to be based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, TNS’ biggest and fast growing market in Latin America. He will be joining TNS in mid October in advance of him formally taking up his new role.

Ignacio will be taking over from Wander Meijer, who has been responsible for the region for the last four years, based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. We will be announcing details of Wander’s new role in the coming weeks.
