(TORONTO) – CHUM Television local stations A-Channel Barrie/Toronto, A-Channel London, A-Channel Vancouver Island and CablePulse24 (CP24) have won a combined eight regional Edward R. Murrow Awards. Presented by the Radio-Television News Directors Association (RTNDA), the awards were announced Friday in Washington, DC and recognize excellence in electronic journalism.

CHUM Television stations were among 3,253 regional entries received by the RTNDA, more than any previous year. Judges gave 606 awards to 279 stations in 14 categories ranging from overall excellence to spot news to continuing coverage to investigative reporting.
