Oil Spill Documentary seeks Funding Through IndieGoGo Platform

Brattleboro, VT, USA - The Brown Pelican Project, a documentary covering the aftermath of the Gulf Coast Oil spill, is seeking funding through crowdfunding platform IndieGoGo.com.

Sponsored by non-profit organization, Fractured Atlas, the Brown Pelican Project plans to document and raise awareness of the impact the Gulf Oil spill on people’s lives who have been most directly affected by the spill.

“What seperates the horrific nature of this event and Katrina is the large scope and implications surrounding the oil spill”, said Richard Andrews on the IndeiGoGo website. “Such a tragedy will even have significant implications on those of us who are thousands of miles removed from the Gulf.”

Andrews plans on using money raised from IndieGoGo to help fund the pre-production stages and trip to the Gulf of Mexico.

“While many people look to crowdfunding platforms, such as IndieGoGo, to raise money for business projects and personal projects, it’s refreshing to see people perusing philanthropic projects like this” said Tellman Knudson, founder of Crowdfundingsecrets.net.

At the time of this release, the Brown Pelican Project has received $1,964 of its $4,000 goal.
