Houston Marketing Services: American Marketing Association - Houston Chapter Appoints Michelle Wicmandy to Board of Directors

Houston Marketing Services: Marketing Director for Southeast Media, Michelle Wicmandy, is serving on the American Marketing Association (AMA) - Houston Chapter Board of Directors as director of chapter development for 2010 - 2011. The purpose of the AMA board is to provide members and non-members with educational events, networking opportunities and career resources.

“I’m pleased to welcome Michelle to the AMA Board of Directors to serve as our Director of Chapter Development,” says Mary Jane Mudd, President of the AMA – Houston Chapter. “Her knowledge of the organization, professionalism and team skills are sure to bolster the organization’s membership.” Since 1998, Michelle has intermittently been an AMA member and volunteer. Previously, she served on the Board of Directors, the Communications Committee and recently the Crystal Awards Committee.

The role will be challenging as well as rewarding, and I’m honored to be working with this dynamic team.”

Currently, Wicmandy serves as the marketing director for Southeast Media, a marketing and communications firm in Houston that caters to the retail foods industry, where she performs online and traditional marketing and communications. “Michelle is the ideal candidate for this role,” claims Gregg Parnell, CEO and President for Southeast Media. “She’s dependable, personable and displays a strong work ethic. She will be a positive driving force on this team.”

Wicmandy is also a member of the Email Experience Council, a participant in a national MarTech group, a monthly contributing writer for Website Magazine, and an adjunct lecturer at the University of Houston Downtown where she teaches marketing courses.
