Norburn Lighting & Bath Centre and the American Lighting Association Announce $5,000 Home Lighting Makeover Consumer Sweepstakes

June 1 2010 Vancouver, BC Capitalizing on our national fascination with makeovers of all types, Canada’s favorite lighting store, Norburn Lighting & Bath along with the American Lighting Association (ALA) have launched a $5,000 Home Lighting Makeover Sweepstakes, it was announced today by Norm Brown CLC. regional manager of Norburn Lighting.
From April through September, consumers can visit a Norburn Lighting location to complete an entry form for a chance to win a $5,000 interior and/or exterior lighting makeover for their home, as well as second-, third- and fourth-place prizes of lighting products from Norburn. The second-place winner will receive a $2,500 makeover. The third-place winner will receive a $1,500 gift certificate. And the fourth-place winner will receive a $1,000 gift certificate.
“The American Lighting Association, which we are a member of, designed the home lighting makeover sweepstakes as a fun way for lighting showrooms to showcase to consumers their selection and superior customer service in lighting and fans,” said Carol Grierson, Manager of Norburn Lighting’s Langley location.
The name of the winner from the U.S. and Canadian sweepstakes will be drawn at the ALA Annual Conference in September. ALA will photograph before and after pictures of the winning home to promote the dramatic difference lighting can make in a home.
The sweepstakes is supported by full-page, four-color national advertising in U.S. and Canadian consumer home remodeling magazines, internet advertising, press releases and counter card displays. Consumers can also enter the Home Lighting Makeover Sweepstakes by mailing a postcard to ALA. To view the complete rules, visit the ALA Web site, www.americanlightingassoc.com.
The sweepstakes is funded through the ALA BiNational Advertising and PR Program, the lighting industry’s U.S. and Canadian consumer promotion effort designed to raise the awareness of lighting, retail lighting showrooms and the quality products manufactured by ALA manufacturers.
