Print Competition Awards Southeast Media 1st Place for Using UV Inks on Uncoated Paper

Houston, Texas - May 24, 2010 – Web offset printer, Southeast Media, recently won first place in the 2010 Web Offset Association (WOA) Print Awards for using UV inks on uncoated paper. WOA is a special interest group of Printing Industries of America, the world’s largest graphic arts trade association.

“We adopted UV printing about four years ago because it’s a very “Green” technology. Winning first place in this category shows that we can not only be environmentally conscious, but also produce great quality as well.” says Gregg Parnell, CEO for Southeast Media. “We’re especially honored that our workmanship was recognized, and we won first place in this category for Le Blanc’s Grocery stores, as they were one of our first customers to adopt this greener method of printing circulars.” He added, “Grocery stores are typically quite cost-conscious, so I think this award helps prove that you can be fiscally conservative, and environmentally responsible while enhancing the look of your brand.”

The WOA Annual Print Awards showcases the “best of the best” in the web offset print arena. The award is presented annually to printers that produce outstanding work.
