New Strategic Agreement Allows Leading Thai Reseller to Distribute TRuepoint™ Microwave Radios

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, North Carolina, March 27, 2006 — Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS), a leading global provider of wireless equipment and services, today announced an agreement with DG Capitel International Co., Ltd., a leading Thai reseller of telecommunications equipment, to distribute Harris TRuepoint™ microwave digital radios throughout Thailand. The highly scalable platform TRuepoint™ provides is an ideal backhaul solution for the rapid growth in demand for cellular mobile and data services in the Asia-Pacific region.

“Service providers throughout Asia-Pacific are looking for scalable capacity radios that are flexible enough to grow with their network by increasing capacity as demand increases,” said Scott Crosbie, managing director of DG Capitel International. “TRuepoint™ gives our customers this flexibility by allowing operators to deliver both PDH and SDH applications, as well as allowing bandwidth to be remotely increased or decreased, depending on market need. This enables operators to deliver advanced applications while supporting legacy equipment from a single platform.”

TRuepoint™ was designed specifically to meet the cellular carrier’s need for a flexible platform capable of serving a wide range of applications in diverse markets throughout the world. The TRuepoint radio’s programmable software gives operators the advantage of serving many applications, capacities and frequencies all from a single platform. By utilizing one platform, operators reduce the amount of equipment on hand and therefore minimize sparing and storage costs associated with operating multiple radios. As a result, TRuepoint™ enables carriers to significantly lower operational costs while increasing time to market and broadening network reach.

“The growth in the number of cellular subscribers continues to be a fundamental driver of demand for more cost-efficient backhaul in the Asia-Pacific region,” said Roberto Angeles, Asia-Pacific regional sales director for the Harris Microwave Communications Division. “As service providers move toward 3G services, the ability of TRuepoint™ to provide wireless backhaul for voice and data services makes it the obvious solution for the more complex data service requirements and higher data rates we can expect to see.”
