CA Completes Wily Acquisition


End-to-End Application Performance Monitoring Solutions Extend Industry’s Leading IT Management Portfolio.

ISLANDIA, N.Y., March 7, 2006 – CA (NYSE: CA) today announced that it has completed its acquisition of Wily Technology, a leading provider of enterprise application management solutions, for $375 million in an all-cash transaction.

The acquisition extends CA’s industry-leading IT management portfolio and reaffirms the Company’s commitment to be at the forefront of key growth market segments. It also extends CA’s ability to deliver on its vision for Enterprise IT Management (EITM), which empowers customers to unify and simply the management of their IT infrastructures.

Wily’s solutions provide end-to-end visibility into customer transactions in real time, and enable IT organizations to successfully manage the health and availability of their critical enterprise applications and infrastructure. By helping IT managers to rapidly detect and diagnose application slowdowns and failures, these solutions deliver improved business operations, better customer service and higher returns on IT investment.
