Kemtek and Agfa Graphics join forces to supply commercial printers in South Africa

Growing synergy opportunities for strong commitments.

Isando, South Africa, Mortsel, Belgium - Agfa Graphics announced that they reached an agreement with Kemtek Imaging Systems Ltd. for the distribution, service and support of Agfa Graphics’ product range for commercial printers in Southern Africa.

“Agfa Graphics has a strong user base in Southern Africa,” says Dave Reynolds, Business Group Manager South Africa for Agfa Graphics. “By joining forces with Kemtek, we believe that our customer support will be increased. We have opted for a partner that has a wide range of complimentary products. We have worked with Kemtek for years and we recognize their strong presence in our market, as well as their technical abilities and customer service levels.”

Kemtek Imaging Systems Ltd. has been active in the graphic arts industry for many years as a major supplier of equipment and consumables amongst others. Agfa Graphics also recognize that there is a strong synergy with Kemtek and the new series of plate setters, the combination of this and Agfa’s range of printing plates will provide the industry with a dedicated supply house for the Agfa product range.

Agfa Graphics will continue to have a presence in South Africa and will continue to manage the newspaper business from Isando, as well as offering corporate support to Kemtek. Agfa Graphics in Belgium will continue the partnership with Heidelberg for the distribution of Saphira printing plates and associated chemicals to their customers.
