Symantec Establishes Global and Regional Partner Advisory Councils

CUPERTINO, Calif. - Feb 22, 2006 - Symantec Corp. (Nasdaq: SYMC) today announced the Symantec Global and North American, Latin American, European, and Asia-Pacific Regional Partner Advisory Councils. With these councils, Symantec brings select enterprise security and availability partners from around the world together with Symantec management to discuss the company’s vision, products, sales strategies, and partner program.

The Symantec Global and Regional Partner Advisory Councils are focused on strengthening partnerships between Symantec and its Enterprise partners; establishing a highly interactive vehicle in order to shape go-to-market strategies; and building an effective, influential forum for strategic communication between Symantec and its partners from all over the world.

The Councils hold an annual meeting to provide input on Symantec strategy and convene quarterly through conference calls to discuss topical product and operational issues.
