Wavecrest Laboratories Refocuses on Hybrid System Development in Rochester Hills, Michigan

ROCHESTER HILLS, Mi., Feb. 10, 2006 - WaveCrest has consolidated its top innovators from the 3 key areas of Hybrid Systems Development: Motor/Controls, Energy Storage/Management, and Vehicle Controls/Systems to its new headquarters in Rochester Hills, Michigan. They are continuing the mission of changing the way the world moves and are focused on developing their electric and hybrid propulsion technologies for the automotive and commercial vehicle markets.

In November of 2005, Jin Matsumoto, a 28 year veteran from Mitsubishi, joined WaveCrest as a consultant and was appointed acting CEO in January of this year. On the subject of the recent company restructuring, Jin states: “Wavecrest’s premiere technology development team is currently applying its electric and hybrid propulsion technologies to internally funded projects and and is interested in supporting companies that desire design services for their own programs.”

TIDALFORCE

To date Wavecrest has sold over 1600 Tidalforce electric bicycles in North America and is now in discussions with various U.S. and International parties regarding a sale of its TidalForce electric bicycle assets. In October 2005, Wavecrest discontinued production of new electric bicycles but does continue to honor warranty repair and customer service work out of its Dulles, Virginia facility.
