Breaking News: Guadalupe River Levels Increased for July 4th Weekend!

WEBWIRE

www.TubeHaus.com received word from the GBRA (Guadalupe Blanco River Authority) that on July 1st, 2009, they would be increasing the release rate and outflow at the Canyon Lake Dam from 61 cfs (cubic feet per second) up to 125 cfs, providing local Outfitters with much needed water levels for river tubing and swimming. Due to a 22 month drought in Central Texas, rivers have been low and slow.

The 125 cfs recreational flow will continue over the 4th of July weekend until midday Sunday, July 5th, when the GBRA will slowly reduce river levels back down to 61 cfs by Sunday evening.

www.TubeHaus.com is located on the Guadalupe River in Canyon Lake, Texas, just below the Canyon Lake Dam on FM 306. Owner Jerry Lara from Tube Haus is encouraging everyone who plans on going river tubing over the 4th of July weekend to come out early (by 10:30am) to beat the crowds. Early birds will get the best parking, avoid the crowds, get on the river faster, and enjoy more quality time on the river.

Jerry also recommends that everyone coming out to go river tubing read his “Tubing Checklist” on his Website (www.tubehaus.com/guadalupe_river_tubing_checklist.htm), so everyone will be prepared to have a great time on the river.
