SAN RAFAEL, Calif. June 23 -- SharedHR (www.sharedhr.com), a San Rafael-based human resources consulting and technology services firm, today announced the signing of its newest client, Bay Area Community Resources (BACR), a prominent non-profit that promotes the healthy development of individuals, families and communities through direct services, volunteerism and partnerships throughout the San Francisco Bay Area. BACR has retained SharedHR to provide a Web-based human resources management system (HRMS), which will maintain compliance and track information on employees and volunteers involved with the numerous programs BACR sponsors. In addition, the platform will provide an easy-to-use HR portal for employee communications and self-service across more than 40 programs.

“We engaged SharedHR to bring form and structure to our human resources function. We have grown approximately 20% to more than 900 employees over the last three years and expect to continue to grow – but still have just two people who comprise our HR department,” said Cathleen Campbell, CFO for BACR. “We are always looking for ways to keep overhead low and the SharedHR platform, with its integrated payroll and benefits features, will help us accomplish this by allowing our HR team to deliver employee and manager self-serve, organize and maintain documents for easy retrieval, and centralize the HR processes for all our locations.”

“We’re very excited about our partnership with BACR,“ said Malcolm Whyte, principal of SharedHR. ”Their dedication to serving the community and promoting individual and family development is extremely impressive. We look forward to working with their finance and HR departments to build a cost-effective platform and processes to manage their expected, continued growth.

“During this down economy, we have been working with numerous nonprofits, providing them with technology and services that will allow them to maintain compliance and deliver HR services without adding additional overhead. Directors can sleep at night knowing this function is covered.”
