Thomson Reuters Partners With Research4life To Bring Scientific Research Information Resources To Developing Countries Around The World

Healthcare & Science Business Creates Special Edition of ISI Web of Knowledge To Advance Research4Life Partnership

Philadelphia, PA, London, UK. – The Healthcare & Science business of Thomson Reuters today announced that it is joining Research4Life to provide the developing world with access to critical scientific research. Special editions of ISI Web of Knowledge that include Current Contents Connect, Medline, EndNote Web, and ResearcherID, will be available to select developing countries identified by Thomson Reuters and Research4Life partners.

Thomson Reuters is working through Research4Life to support:
• Health Access to Research (HINARI)
• Access to Global Online Research in Agriculture (AGORA)
• Online Access to Research in the Environment (OARE)

Research4Life is the collective name for three public-private partnerships which seek to help achieve the UN’s Millennium Development Goals by providing the developing world with access to critical scientific research. Beginning in 2002, HINARI, AGORA and OARE, have given researchers at 4,500 institutions in 108 developing world countries free or low cost access to over 7,000 journals provided by the world’s leading science publishers.
