Skandinavisk Data Center Purchases Teradata Active Data Warehouse Platform for 140 Financial Institutions

Data center supports more than 140 financial institutions in Scandinavia – Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

MIAMISBURG, Ohio — Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC), the world’s largest company solely focused on data warehousing and enterprise analytics, today announced that Skandinavisk Data Center (SDC) purchased a Teradata Active Enterprise Data Warehouse platform for its banking data center in Denmark. The data center supports more than 140 financial institutions in Scandinavia – Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

The SDC is the largest banking data center in Denmark with a workforce of 350 individuals, and approximately 150 external consultants. The SDC supports the information technology needs of more than 140 member banks, including 756 departments, 10,600 employees, and 3.6 million consumers with 5.8 million accounts.

“Advanced workload management tools are a part of the Teradata system and will provide SDC member banks with a high performing and scalable enterprise data warehouse. Each bank will have a ’private compartment’ within the database allowing each to do complex analysis on its own data.
