Sprint Podcast Launch Features Joe Gibbs Racing

2005 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series™ Championship team discusses how they use Mobile Broadband services to access car data from wherever they are.

Reston, Va. — 02/16/2006, Sprint (NYSE: S) announces the launch of a series of podcasts, called “The Communications Insider,” to help businesses learn how to better use mobility tools to overcome business challenges. Available today is a new podcast featuring Todd Meredith, vice president of operations at Joe Gibbs Racing, as he discusses the benefits of mining more than a terabyte of historical driving data from every NASCAR track using Mobile Broadband service that runs on the Sprint Power Vision(SM) network. Sprint has equipped Joe Gibbs Racing with Mobile Broadband service and wireless connection cards, which allows the team to accelerate race decisions and speed up car adjustments by accessing car performance data from wherever they are.

“The show offers real-life examples of how crucial Mobile Broadband access can become to increasing productivity and making real-time business decisions,” said Vicki Warker, vice president of marketing and product, Sprint Business Solutions. “A new podcast will be available every other week that will focus on top-of-mind business communication issues and provide ideas about how businesses can maximize mobility solutions.”

Meredith and the Joe Gibbs Racing team, including 2005 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Series™ Champion Tony Stewart, also will be featured in a new Sprint television advertisement that will first air during the Daytona 500 on NBC Feb. 19. This ad also will focus on how the team has achieved success and made faster and better decisions through the use of Mobile Broadband services.

Mobile Broadband service is based on state-of-the-art EV-DO CDMA technology. Users with EV-DO capable devices will be able to access wireless data at up to 10 times faster than the current Sprint Nationwide PCS network. The Mobile Broadband service has expanded to more than 215 major markets and more than 465 airports nationwide, and will be accessible on various devices to about 150 million people in over 220 major markets by early 2006.
