Linde announces product name change for pharmaceutical grade gases range

WEBWIRE

Munich.- Linde Gases, a division of The Linde Group, today announced its decision to consolidate its pharmaceutical grade gases range under the trademarked product name of VERISEQ®. Currently the range is sold under a combination of product names including VERISEQ® and Trace.

The name change transition has just begun and customers will start to take delivery of the re-named gases no later than November this year. Any non VERISEQ® product names will be obsolete from 31 March 2010.

“Linde has a broad range of pharmaceutical grade gases across the VERISEQ® portfolio that enables pharmaceutical manufacturers to swiftly commercialise their operations by quickly complying with all necessary specifications” says Stephen Harrison, Head of Specialty Gases and Specialty Equipment at Linde. “The improvement in product naming consistency will make brand recognition easier for customers and also provide greater simplicity in both sourcing and up-scaling from cylinder to bulk gases.”

VERISEQ® pharmaceutical grade gases, part of the HiQ® specialty gases product range from Linde, offer quality assured gas solutions for the manufacturing of pharmaceuticals and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). VERISEQ® process grade gases include nitrogen, carbon dioxide, oxygen, argon and helium in both bulk and packaged formats and hydrogen and synthetic air in packaged format. All gases conform to internationally harmonised specifications and helps manufacturers meet the stringent requirements of European, US, and Japanese pharmacopoeias as well as the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other authorities.
