Fifteen Quick and Nutritious Microwave Recipes Plus Online Video Tutorials

Now Available in Panasonic’s “Virtual Test Kitchen”

SECAUCUS, NJ . – Panasonic is helping home cooks discover the power of microwave cooking with a collection of 15 quick, healthy and gourmet recipes created by the Certified Master Chefs at The Culinary Institute of America (CIA) specifically for Panasonic Inverter microwaves. Step-by-step instructions for the 15 CIA microwave recipes, all of which include nutritional information; plus three instructional cooking videos, are now available in the Panasonic “Virtual Test Kitchen” at www.panasonic.com/inverter.

“As families stretch their food and entertainment budgets by cooking more at home and dining out less frequently, we are proud to collaborate with Panasonic to show that microwave cooking can be more than reheating leftovers or defrosting frozen vegetables,” said Ron DeSantis, Certified Master Chef and Project Director of CIA Consulting. “It is important for cooks of all skill levels to know that Panasonic microwaves can be used to prepare healthy and delicious meals.”

The 15 no-fuss gourmet dishes are a result of three months of research and testing by CIA chefs and include culinary favorites that are not typically prepared in microwaves, such as: Maryland Crab Dip, Corn Chowder with Chilis and Monterey Jack, Herb Stuffed Turkey Breast with Cranberry Chutney, and Cinnamon Raisin Bread Pudding.

Panasonic’s microwave ovens stand apart from other microwaves as they feature Inverter technology, a unique capability that allows for more even cooking with an always-on, constant energy flow. Other ovens use 100% power all the time, but repeatedly turn the energy on and off in the lower microwave settings. Panasonic’s consistent and precise heat provides more control while cooking, reheating and defrosting.

“We are delighted with the superb taste and quality of The Culinary Institute of America dishes that were entirely prepared using Panasonic Inverter microwaves,” said Dan Silver, Director, Home Appliance Group, Panasonic Home & Health Company. “Through this collaboration with the CIA, we are giving our customers the resources to prepare delicious meals that complement a busy lifestyle, but do not sacrifice taste, elegance or quality.”

Beyond the step-by-step instructions, Panasonic is also providing more support for people cooking at home, by offering three online how-to-videos featuring CIA Chef Instructors. Each short cooking show – up to eight minutes – features a chef preparing a recipe (Herb Stuffed Turkey Breast with Cranberry Chutney, Gran Marnier Chocolate Fondue, and Mediterranean Vegetable Frittata) and offering cooking tips. The chefs also explain Inverter technology and how it enables people to cook healthy, delicious meals in Panasonic microwaves.
