Wisconsin Attorney Kirk B. Obear Elected to Board of Directors, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers
Wisconsin attorney Kirk B. Obear has been elected to the Board of Directors for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.
Obear, a NACDL Life Member, recently completed a 2-year term as the President of the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and is currently serving as the Director of Legislative Affairs for that organization.
“I look forward to the opportunity to serve on the National Board,” Obear said. “NACDL is at the forefront of human rights and civil liberties activism. It is an honor to be an integral part of the historic changes that are taking place in American law and government right now.”
Mr. Obear received his J.D. from the State University of Buffalo, NY in 1994. He served as a prosecutor and defense attorney in the US Air Force for five years before moving to Wisconsin, where he has since practiced exclusively in the area of criminal defense.
In both 2007 and 2008 he was listed in Wisconsin SuperLawyers®, a distinction reserved for the top 5% of attorneys in the state.
