Citi Handlowy Rewards Active Customers – "Fee-Free" Package

Citi Handlowy is launching a special offer for micro and small companies, rewarding customers who actively use debit cards issued to their business accounts. If each month the total value of non-cash transactions made with the card does not fall below PLN 2,000 – their ‘fee holiday’ will last forever, which means that they will be totally exempt from paying the fee for using the “Excellent White” package.

Adam Grabarczyk, Head of Local Commercial Bank Customer Segment Development Department said: “That’s a unique solution in the Polish commercial banking market. We reward loyal and active customers using debit cards linked to their business accounts with Citi Handlowy by exempting them from paying a fee for using a whole package of services. A measure of our customers’ activeness is the total value of non-cash transactions made each month as part of the new promotion of the ”Fee Free“ package; customers are given a truly special offer on very competitive terms.”

Under the slogan, “You Use Your Business Card to Pay for Purchases – You Have Fee-Free Package,” the bank has launched a promotion of banking services for micro and small companies. All customers who open a business account and choose the “Fee-Free” package will be offered a one-month ‘fee holiday.’ However, these are not all privileges for small companies. Customers who actively use business debit cards linked to their accounts with Citi Handlowy can use the package free of charge as long as every month, the total value of non-cash transactions made with a debit card linked to a business account, does not fall below PLN 2,000.

When choosing the “Fee-Free” package, customers are offered a convenient and cheap account together with a whole set of state-of-the-art tools allowing effective management of company finance. The package is designed to meet the needs and expectations of self-employed persons carrying out business activity. As part of the “Fee-Free” package customers can open and maintain one current account. They are also given a debit card, as well as access to internet banking and phone banking (CitiPhone). Entrepreneurs also have an individual Tele Relationship Manager assigned to them. Moreover, they are offered a great choice of deposit and savings accounts, such as Automatic Deposit Account, Business Savings Account and Business Super Savings Account. All these products are available at no charge to customers.

Citi Handlowy also offers “Accessible White” and “Dynamic Red” packages. The customers of Citi Handlowy can be fully or partially exempt from monthly fees for using the packages if their business account average monthly balance is maintained at a certain level.

What makes the packages for Citi Handlowy’s micro-business customers stand out in the market is competitive fees for basic banking transactions and a rich offer of fee-free additional services. When choosing one of the packages, small and medium-sized companies are given fee-free online transfers to ZUS (Social Insurance Institution) and Tax Office, fee-free internal transfers within Citi Handlowy, a wide network of fee-free ATMs, and a certain number of fee-free cash withdrawals in branches. In October 2008, Citi Handlowy simplified the segmentation of companies from the SME sector – on the new website customers can choose between “Banking for SME” (annual sales up to 75 million) and “Banking for Corporates” (annual sales exceeding 75 million).
