U.S. Hospital Cures Data Protection Challenges with EMC Consolidated Backup Management

* Wentworth-Douglass Hospital – the largest acute care hospital in the Seacoast region of New Hampshire and Southern Maine (U.S.) – needed to upgrade its legacy IBM Tivoli backup system as its old infrastructure did not allow them to fine tune backup and recovery operations of its physical and virtual infrastructures.

* Samsung Heavy Industries – a world-class shipbuilding, construction and engineering giant, to not only upgrade its existing backup infrastructure – required the highest level of backup and recovery due to its heavy use of very large CAD/CAM (computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing) files.
