Atos Origin acquires a leading SAP national implementation partner in China

Enhances Market Position and Expands Product Offering

Beijing, China - Atos Origin, an international IT services company, today announced it has acquired Shanghai Covics Business Solution Ltd.(Shanghai Covics), a leading Chinese SAP consultancy and SAP system integration services provider. It’s the first acquisition carried out by Atos Origin in China and in the Asia-Pacific region as well.

Through the acquisition, Atos Origin, the company that has successfully delivered the IT systems for the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, will reinforce its capability all through the full SAP cycle of consulting, implementation, maintenance and hosting in China, notably Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. In addition, it will be able to double the number of its local experienced SAP consultants.

Shanghai Covics is a pure Chinese SAP player with over 100 staff led by a strong management team. It has an excellent team of qualified SAP consultants and a number of outstanding projects delivered to date. It is also one of the most successful All-in-One SAP project integrators in the China market.

After the acquisition, Shanghai Covics will be wholly owned by Atos Origin. Retaining the company name, Shanghai Covics will continue carrying on its business while Atos Origin reviews its operations and synergies during the transition period.
