February 09, 2006, Toronto and Mississauga – Citigroup Canada today announced that it will construct a new, state-of-the-art facility in Mississauga, Ontario, solidifying Citigroup’s ongoing commitment to its future in Canada.

The new campus headquarters, which is scheduled to begin construction in spring of 2006, will be the hub of many Citigroup Canada business operations, including Citi Cards Canada Inc., Citi Commerce Solutions of Canada Ltd. and CitiFinancial Canada, Inc. The site will accommodate approximately 2,000 employees and will help facilitate Citigroup’s planned business growth in the Canadian market.

“This new facility will enable Citigroup to become more efficient, maximize our potential for growth and provide new and exciting employment opportunities by bringing a number of our various Canadian business groups together under the same roof,” said Ken Quinn, Chairman and CEO, Citibank Canada. “This significant announcement represents the continued evolution of Citigroup’s growth in Canada.”

Employees at Citi Cards offices in Toronto and Burlington and employees from four CitiFinancial Canada sites in Toronto, Mississauga and Concord will move into the facility when construction is complete – currently scheduled for fall 2007.

The new campus headquarters represents a $59-million investment by Citigroup. It will be enhanced with a variety of amenities and benefits, including an on-site fitness and wellness center, training facilities, parking, full cafeteria and ergonomic work stations with all new state-of-the-art equipment.

“We’re excited about the opportunity to become a part of the Orlando Corporation’s ‘Heartland’ community in Mississauga and to offer Citigroup employees the opportunity to work in a modern, new, technologically advanced facility,” said Barry Columb, President of Citi Cards Canada and Mississauga Site President. “Our goal is to be the leading payment and lending services company in Canada, and this new site will give us the flexibility we need as we continue our efforts toward achieving that goal.”

The Heartland Business Community, a 1,250-acre master planned business park, is bounded by Highways 401 and 10. The Orlando Corporation will develop and construct the 200,000 square foot modern facility with extensive landscaping fronting Highway 10 on 21.5 acres. ZAS Group of Companies will design the interior, while Jones, Lang, LaSalle provides project management services.
