diversifEye 5.2 is First to Emulate Per-flow SIP controlled Video On Demand - also Introduces Support for Security enabled VoIP and Data Application Protocols

Burlingame, CA. - Shenick Network Systems, the award winning provider of per-flow IP communication test and monitoring systems, today released version 5.2 of its diversifEye™ software with powerful new upgrades designed for next generation networks (NGN’s). With diversifEye 5.2, Shenick creates a market first with its ability to test session initiation protocol (SIP) controlled video on demand (VoD). It reduces the complexity of user authentication in NGN and IMS multi-service delivery environments, bringing greater efficiency and a streamlined approach.

diversifEye 5.2 now also supports security-enabled applications such as Voice over IP (VoIP) and Secure Web (HTTPS) emulation and analysis using SSL/TLS. Secure VoIP offers many advantages but, there is a need for infrastructure vendors and service providers to test SSL/TLS functionality and performance under real-world load conditions to determine quality of service (QoS) and individual call quality of experience (QoE). Adding security increases pressure on the underlying network in areas such as processing time and bandwidth overhead but, with diversifEye 5.2, network equipment vendors and service providers operating within secure environments including finance, government and defense can determine functional and performance QoS and QoE limitations even at individual per-flow levels.

Robert Winters, chief marketing officer, Shenick said. “SIP has proved itself as a versatile protocol, not just for VoIP related services but to also bring significant efficiency improvements for other network services, through its usage as a multi-service voice and video initiation protocol. In addition, VoIP is moving to a new phase of maturity within secure IP environments. It’s more important than ever to make sure that each and every secure call functions correctly. Service providers can now be confident that performance levels and overall subscriber QoE is perfected.”

Shenick delivers an impressive range of upgrades for NGN’s with diversifEye 5.2 bolstering its innovative per-flow architecture with SIP controlled VoD and the introduction of latest security test upgrades.” said Olga Yashkova, communication test sector analyst, Frost and Sullivan. “In the market, vendors are looking for ways to deliver efficiencies and streamline testing, diversifEye 5.2 enables them to do this.”

In addition, diversifEye 5.2 includes the following new functionality:

Enhanced capture replay capabilities with support for UDP/IP Replay such as Skype™ and PCAP substitution.
Upgraded post-test analysis reporting tools.

HTTP ‘POST’ (File Support) and ‘Header’ Updates.

Increased productivity and test flexibility with;
o Test support for an enhanced range of VoD servers,
o Subscriber emulation activity cycles, emulating individual users enabling/disabling
broadband access during a test cycle,
o Full HD 1080i over UDP/IP/RTP video flow support for broadcast applications.
Increased visibility with TCP connection timing statistics.
Additional OS platform support.
In addition to testing IPTV, VoD, VoIP, DPI, security devices, IPv4 and/or IPv6, newer diversifEye applications include:
o DOCSIS & EURODOCSIS 3.0
