Delta Names Shirley Bridges Chief Information Officer

ATLANTA, February 8, 2006 – Delta Air Lines today appointed Shirley W. Bridges as its Chief Information Officer and the President and Chief Executive Officer of Delta Technology (DT), its wholly owned subsidiary.

Bridges, a 16-year Delta and DT veteran, has served in multiple leadership roles during her career with the airline. Most recently, she served as Chief Operating Officer of DT, where she was responsible for overseeing critical business processes, maintenance and operation of technology systems and existing architecture. Previously, she served as Vice President of Airline Operations Systems, where she was responsible for managing all software applications in the Technical Operations Center - Maintenance Repair and Overhaul facility, the Operational Control Center, Pilot and Flight Attendant scheduling and communications and Corporate Compliance and Safety reporting systems.

Bridges received her bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Clark Atlanta University and holds a master’s degree in project management from George Washington University. She serves as a board member for Girl’s Inc. of Greater Atlanta, a national nonprofit youth organization dedicated to inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold.
