Contacts in FusionOne Network Address Book to be accessible from Navigator, Providing Mobile Content Portability Across Applications For Mobile Subscribers.

SAN JOSE, CA — FusionOne, the leading provider of mobile phone content portability services, today announced a partnership with Networks In Motion (NIM), a wireless navigation and hyper-local search company that provides location-based services (LBS) for leading mobile carriers around the world. As a result, Network in Motion’s NAVBuilder™ LBS Platform and AtlasBook™ Navigator, will be integrated with FusionOne’s Network Address Book solution.

Currently, Navigator users need to find or enter an address in order to map a new location. With this integration between the two platforms, users can launch the address book and select their destination without leaving the Navigator. Similarly, consumers who are using FusionOne’s Network Address Book to manage and share their contacts will be able to directly map an address or get directions from within the Network Address Book application. Mobile users will benefit from the transparent sharing between these applications making finding, sharing, and navigating easier.

FusionOne’s multi-sync service, known as Network Address Book, centralizes address books across a wide range of communications services, including mobile and web applications and mobile phones. Network Address Book consolidates these address books into a single globally accessible location that enables users to update all their address books, driving increased customer satisfaction and usability.

“This combination is a prime example of how a multi-sync service such as Network Address Book will benefit mobile subscribers”, said Mohan Sadashiva, senior vice president of marketing for FusionOne. “We’re helping them achieve mobile content portability-the freedom to not just take their data between devices, but to also share that data with applications such as Navigators.”

“We are always looking for new ways to make our products easier to use and increase relevant functionality”, said Doug Antone, president and CEO of Networks In Motion. “This partnership greatly simplifies the user experience by allowing consumers to use their mobile address book in our Navigation Services.”

At the 2009 GSMA Mobile World Congress, FusionOne announced that it will be integrating its multi-sync service capability across Verizon services – including mobile, telecom and FiOS. This announcement expanded upon the successful deployment of Backup Assistant, the Verizon Wireless-branded version of FusionOne’s MightyBackup Contacts product, which protects and transfers phone contacts.
