Sunnyvale, California - ACCESS CO., LTD., a global provider of advanced software technologies to the mobile and beyond-PC markets, demonstrated an innovative mobile content delivery solution for mobile operators jointly-developed with SanDisk Corporation (NASDAQ: SNDK), the world’s largest supplier of flash storage cards. The solution uses the SanDisk Service Delivery Card (SDC) and ACCESS’ NetFront Widgets to provide users with a new way to access mobile content, media content, mobile applications and popular mobile Internet services. The user-friendly interface built on the NetFront Widgets platform allows users to access and navigate content easily whether it is stored on the card or online.

The SanDisk Service Delivery Card coupled with ACCESS’ NetFront Widgets can provide mobile operators the ability to deliver a unique branded experience that provides a reliable and compelling customized user experience. Operators can take advantage of the customization and content delivery provided by the easy-to-use NetFront Widgets interface to tailor content and services to specific devices.

“As Internet access via mobile devices grows in popularity, we will see a dramatic increase in the demand for local storage,” said Elliot Broadwin, Vice President of MNO Strategic Marketing, SanDisk. “With ACCESS, we are combining the convenience of mobile widgets with our secure platform for local caching and storage to deliver an extraordinary user experience.”

ACCESS’ NetFront Widgets is a comprehensive widget solution comprising a widget player and all of the content development tools operators and handset manufacturers need to accelerate development and delivery of widget services. Content providers can leverage a development environment based on open Web-standard specifications to facilitate development of widget content. Worldwide deployments of ACCESS’ NetFront technologies surpassed 700 million in January 2009.

“The Internet is rapidly gaining in popularity beyond the PC as users are seeking easy access to their favorite content, news, weather, sports and social networking services from their mobile phones and other devices now connected to the Internet,” said Kiyo Oishi, CEO ACCESS Systems Americas. “ACCESS and SanDisk are working together to provide a more fulfilling mobile Internet experience.”
