More Versatility Added to Industry’s Leading Air Monitors

KD Engineering announces new updates to the AirBoxx and shAirBoxx IAQ instruments.

After a busy start to 2009, with exhibitions at the AHR Expo, IAQA/ACCA Conference and NFMT Expo, the industry’s gold standard for indoor air quality monitoring equipment has announced some exciting new developments. KD Engineering has now made the AirBoxx and shAirBoxx capable of being able to change measurement units from carbon dioxide to ventilation rate and relative humidity to dew point.

Equipment owners will be able to make the changes in the equipments’ preferences section to display carbon dioxide concentrations or outside air ventilation rates. The same changes will be available for switching from relative humidity to dew point.

The addition of the new options was based on the fact that the ASHRAE Standard is based on ventilation rates for an indoor space. Ventilation rate is a calculated parameter from carbon dioxide concentrations, assuming steady state readings.

“Since the IAQ monitors are already celebrated for their ease of use and accuracy the new options make the devices that much more versatile,” reported Peter Pare of KD Engineering. “We have already had an enthusiastic response from industry professionals as word has quickly spread about the new options,” he continued.
