Pocket Enhances its Mobile Data Offering with the Addition of Downloadable BREW Content

SAN ANTONIO, Texas and SAN DIEGO . - Pocket Communications, a San Antonio-based wireless voice and data service provider, providing service in Texas and New England, today announced an agreement with Qualcomm to offer BREW®-based services to Pocket customers beginning in summer 2009. Using Qualcomm’s BREW managed service, Pocket customers will be able to shop for, and download, a wide variety of mobile applications and services on their mobile device, ranging from ringtones and wallpapers to 3D games.

The BREW managed service is designed to allow operators to provide a dynamic mobile application shopping experience for their customers, driving wireless data growth at low operational costs. With the hosted service, mobile operators can offer their subscribers a full catalog of BREW applications that are hosted by Qualcomm.
