Contract Strengthens Supplier Relationship With Petrobras.

HOUSTON, Texas – Landmark, a brand of Halliburton’s (NYSE:HAL) Digital and Consulting Solutions Division, was awarded a two-year, multi-million dollar contract to support, train, and consult for Petrobras on a full suite of software and information technology services. Landmark’s participation in Petrobras’ streamlined contract system places the company’s technology on Petrobras’ “Global Purchase Order,” system, which allows suppliers to set fixed prices for their products and services. Using this system, Petrobras guarantees beforehand to purchase a minimum volume of goods and services for the duration of the contract.

"We offer this type of contract to our major vendors, with the intention of facilitating access to required goods and services for our business units in Brazil and internationally,” said Vandemir Ferreira de Oliveira, manager of Petrobras IT for Exploration and Production. “Landmark has been chosen to gain access to a Global PO contract based on the volume of product sales and the good working relationship developed between the two companies.”

“Landmark not only renewed its existing agreement, but turned it into a two-year Global PO contract, signifying that Petrobras views Landmark as a long-term strategic supplier,” said Peter Bernard, senior vice president, Halliburton’s Digital and Consulting Solutions Division . “The Global PO contract can be extended in duration and total value.”

“The Global PO contract will provide Petrobras Exploration and Production professionals with easy access to Landmark technology and services,” said Paul Koeller, vice president, Sales and Delivery, Halliburton’s Digital and Consulting Solutions Division. “The fixed pricing system for Landmark products and services and using a single PO contract number significantly reduces the time from request to delivery.”
