CCH Signs Three-Year Deal to Provide HMRC with Online Tax Information

WEBWIRE

London – CCH, the UK’s leading tax and accounting information provider, part of Wolters Kluwer, has signed a three-year agreement to provide HM Revenue & Customs with a range of online tax information.

CCH has created a customised online platform for the UK Government’s team of Tax and Customs & Excise professionals at HMRC. It contains a series of tools covering personal and corporate tax data, maintained by CCH’s teams of specialist authors and editors. Typical content includes the British Tax and VAT Libraries carrying commentary, legislation and summaries of UK tax cases.

The content for HMRC contains tax manuals, including online versions of the market-leading CCH Red and Green books, updated weekly and fully integrated with the rest of the service. The deal also includes a one-year agreement to supply printed copies of the Red and Green books.

In partnership with HMRC, CCH has additionally published the Purple book, a definitive collection of legislation and other materials on Customs and Excise duties, fully annotated and indexed for ease of access and use.

Quick searches for legislation, as well as current news updated daily and which can be sent as email alerts to HMRC users, also feature in CCH’s specialised online service.

Peter Wildey of HMRC’s Tax Professionalism team says: “The main criteria for awarding CCH this contract included providing a value-for-money service together with a product that is fast and easy to use by our tax professionals in HMRC. It is also important that the service delivers broad and comprehensive tax, accounting and financial reporting information.”

CCH’s executive director, Martin Casimir, says: “CCH has been supporting the tax, accounting and finance professions for more than 90 years. Our service for HMRC gives its in-house tax professionals access to a comprehensive and customised online tool that delivers a full library of relevant, up-to-date and historical information.”

Note to Editors
