Bordentown, NJ – Dacor, market leader in luxury kitchen appliance design, manufacturing and distribution, has launched Dacor University – an online training resource for appliance retailers and trade professionals. Dacor University will provide retailers and trade professionals with convenient access to high quality product training on the Dacor product line. Dacor University is powered by LearnPoint, LeanForward’s hosted learning management system (LMS) and Dacor’s initial elearning courseware was developed by LeanForward.

Dacor selected LearnPoint as the foundation for their online corporate university. “After the first demonstration, we knew LearnPoint was the right application to meet our training delivery and management requirements” said Patricia Chesebro, National Training Manager for Dacor. LearnPoint is a SCORM compliant LMS that provides a core set of features that is intuitive for both learner and administrators.

LeanForward’s custom elearning development team was engaged by Dacor to design and develop its initial web-based training (WBT) courses. LeanForward’s expertise in Instructional Design and Instructional Technology ensures that Dacor’s courseware provides learners with the knowledge they need to effectively promote and sell the Dacor product line. In addition to the initial courseware development, LeanForward’s Instructional Design and development team established a Dacor-branded elearning design structure. This structure has enabled Dacor’s internal resources to develop additional storyboards and draft courseware internally. LeanForward’s multimedia team then fine tunes the elearning courseware for final publishing.

“LeanForward’s expertise enabled us to rapidly launch Dacor University with professional and instructionally sound elearning courseware.” said Ms. Chesebro. “In addition, LeanForward’s collaborative elearning design and development model has enabled us to optimize use of our internal resources while still ensuring the instructional integrity and professional look we require. Today, LeanForward continues to be an invaluable part of our elearning development process.”

“We are pleased to add Dacor to our growing list of clients.” said Jim Palmer, EVP Sales for LeanForward. “eLearning needs vary greatly by client. Therefore, we tailor our custom design and development services to satisfy our client’s unique online training requirements while also complimenting their internal resources.”
