Bohemia Bags ’Buying Team of the Year’ Award

On 5th February Bohemia Design, Edinburgh based lifestyle boutique, achieved another first by winning the prestigious ’Buying Team of the Year’ award at the Birmingham International Spring Fair 2009.

The 2009 judging panel which included Linda Barker, Sophie Conran and Retail Week editor, Tim Danaher voted Jenny Lockton and Deb Ogg outright winners in recognition of their buying skills and business acumen. Adding even more sparkle (and tension) to the event was Bohemia’s nomination as a finalist for ’Emerging Retailer of the Year’.

The Spring Fair 2009 Awards are sponsored by American Express and BT Tradespace. The Awards aim to recognise the achievements of the best suppliers and retailers of the home and gift market.

Bohemia’s descriptive paragraph in the winners brochure says it all:

Bohemia run two retail shops in Edinburgh and their online store www.bohemiadesign.co.uk which sells a wide range of womens fashion clothing and lifestyle accessories to an international customer base. During their first year of online trading the company achieved six figure sales and a doubling of their online traffic.
