CUSTOMER SUCCESS: BMC Software Helps British Telecom Deliver Business-Critical Services


HOUSTON – BMC Software (NYSE: BMC) today announced the availability of an important customer video detailing British Telecom’s successful implementation of BMC CONTROL-M enterprise job scheduling software.

BMC CONTROL-M was selected by British Telecom to help address the challenge of getting business-critical reports through its system on time. For example, it was particularly important – indeed, imperative -- that BT Finance be able to send its reports to the stock market on time.

“I’ve been told by (BT Finance) that if that report does not get to the stock market on time, we could lose one million pounds a second, said Jarlath Garvey, scheduling manager for British Telecom. “We can’t do it without CONTROL-M.”
