Linda Everett Moyé Releases Debut Novel
(SAN ANTONIO, TX)— Have you ever wondered if those deja-vu moments you’ve shared with another person happened because you’ve lived and loved that person in past lives? In her new book, Linda Everett Moyé explores that question in her debut novel, THE PLEDGE-LIFE IS ETERNAL AND SO IS LOVE. A book release event will be held February 15, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Myra Davis Hemmings Resource Center, located at 328 N. Pine Street.
Moyé’s love for San Antonio is reflected in THE PLEDGE, as the principle characters, Thomas Manning and Latisha Edwards, meet at Fort Sam Houston. Their relationship blossoms as they date on the Riverwalk, attend classes at St. Philip’s College, and visit the Alamo. Living ordinary lives, they travel to familiar places including New Orleans, Washington, DC, Hampton, and Orlando.
Living ordinary lives, the couple struggles to find logical answers to ancient messages that suggest they have been together before in other lifetimes. This “love story for modern times” reminds us that life and love are truly eternal, and leaves us wondering about a chance meeting with our own “soul mate” who may have gotten away.
A graduate of St. Mary’s University School of Law and Virginia State University, Moyé is a member of the Orange County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., Orlando Renaissance Writers Guild, Inc., and the Writer’s League of Texas.
