TestAmerica Awarded Contract by the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality for Water Quality Testing

The Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ) has selected TestAmerica Laboratories, Inc. to implement the Monitoring Assistance Program (MAP) for the Year 2009.

The ADEQ’s Monitoring Assistance Program (MAP) was established to support public water systems serving less than 10,000 people in complying with the Safe Drinking Water Act requirements. The public water systems that participate in this program take advantage of the Department’s scale to receive favorable costs and high quality services such as those offered by TestAmerica with minimal administrative overhead. The TestAmerica team will be responsible for the collection, transportation, analysis, and reporting of all required quarterly, semi-annual, and annual samples for baseline radionuclides, regulated volatile organic chemicals (VOCs), regulated synthetic organic chemicals (SOCs), and regulated inorganic chemicals (IOCs).

TestAmerica has organized a team of professionals that will work together to fulfill all of MAP’s requirements. The program will be managed out of TestAmerica’s Irvine (CA) Laboratory with support from TestAmerica facilities in Phoenix (AZ), Colton and Sacramento (CA). Project Managers have been dedicated at each location to facilitate the program. As part of TestAmerica’s focus on sustainability an emphasis is placed on the reduction of the use of paper. Supporting this initiative, ADEQ will be utilizing TestAmerica’s proprietary online data management interface, TotalAccess, to customize, track and manage all project-specific reporting.
