Long Island Man Proposes to Girlfriend on FragranceNet.com Website

WEBWIRE

Hauppauge, NY – February 6, 2009 - Can FragranceNet.com, a leading online retailer of discounted genuine brand name fragrances, candles, aromatherapy and beauty products, add wedding proposals to its list of offerings?

Website developer Steven Aurigema an employee of FragranceNet.com came up with the ultimate proposal using his company’s website after his original plan backfired.

Forget the romantic dinner and trail of rose petals, Steve decided to take the technical route and with the help of his friends and colleagues at FragranceNet.com, he pulled it off.

“Originally, I had intended on going out to the city for a night on the town and popping the question on top of the Empire State Building,” says Steve. “However, my plan came unraveled when I arrived home after an out-of-town funeral to find my mail neatly stacked upon arrival and at the very top an envelope from the jeweler with the words “statement enclosed” blazoned across.”

After realizing his girlfriend Jessica saw the bill, plan B had to be put into action and fast! Deciding to tie the proposal into something more routine and throw her off, Steve created a web page on FragranceNet.com under the pretense it is a project for work that needs her input—something he’s done many times before.

Using the company’s logo and layout a mock page was created…. all that remained was for it to be executed.

“We are all very excited and happy for Steven,” says FragranceNet.com founder Jason Apfel. “He had our blessing to use our site to put forth his plan of action and any other company resources he needed. We are honored to be part of such a special moment.”

So with the BIG question looming on “site”—an even bigger one remains: did she accept?

She did. While no official wedding date has been set, it has been confirmed that FragranceNet.com will be providing an assortment of wedding day fragrances for the entire bridal party!

Why not consider Steve’s proposal for an upcoming Valentine’s Day, creative “I Do’s” or Long Island love story segment?
