A company providing corporate drumming in Scotland will soon be celebrating its 10th anniversary

Inverness-shire, Scotland – January 24th 2009: Scotland-based drumming workshop Drumfun is celebrating almost 10 years of work within various communities in Scotland, and for a huge number of different organizations throughout the U.K. Based in Scotland, Drumfun specialize in team building, corporate events and in organising community and school based musical events.

The primary aim of Drumfun is to invigorate and energise children, teenagers and adults to build their confidence and provide drum-circle therapy, along with selling African drums and percussion. The team is dedicated to getting the power of Drumming Workshops out onto the UK mainstream team building market and in providing opportunities for individuals and groups to connect with their own rhythmical abilities, hence building confidence in individuals, and creativity and inspiration within teams. Corporate drumming in Scotland also comes in the form of Drumfun’s larger events such as conferences, street carnivals and inter-generational community events.

“I cannot underestimate the effects that Drumfun sessions have had on my team” says F.A.L.C.O.N project leader David Thomson, “I have no doubt as to what drumming has contributed in terms of communication within the group, both through the drums and through personalities in the group.”

The Drumfun group is led by front man Steve Sharpe, a student of West African music, arts and culture, a teacher of African drumming and community and corporate event organiser.

One of the UK’s leading Drumming Workshops, Drumfun, will soon be celebrating their 10 year anniversary of working with children, teenagers, adolescents and the elderly within the Scottish community. This milestone comes just as Steve has been asked to help co- facilitate a large corporate team event for 8000 people at a conference in Southern Spain.

According to Steve, Drumfun’s horizons are expected to expand further in 2009 as they look towards the future with confidence and excitement.
