Ahlstrom’s technology makes gasket materials more sustainable in India

Ahlstrom, a global leader in the development and manufacture of high performance fiber-based materials, will further transfer its technical expertise in India in the area of gasket materials manufacturing. Through a license agreement with Talbros Automotive Components Ltd, Ahlstrom transfers its technology in the production of non-asbestos gasket materials complying with the most stringent international quality standards. Gasket materials are used in the manufacture of soft and cylinder head gaskets mainly for automotive and industrial applications.

With this agreement, Ahlstrom will also enhance its service on Indian market and other emerging geographical areas by starting to distribute, with exclusivity, gasket materials produced by Talbros through its own sales network.

Talbros Automotive Components Ltd, a long-lasting customer of Ahlstrom, is a leading company in India specialized in the production of automotive and industrial gaskets. Talbros gaskets are also exported to over 25 countries around the world.

Ahlstrom’s gasket materials are manufactured at the Altenkirchen plant, Germany not using any asbestos at all. Gasket materials are part of the company’s Sealing and shielding product line serving a wide range of specialty materials for automotive, building and industrial applications.
