Diffuse The Terrible Two’s!

Early in the human life cycle, typically in the two-year-old range, a strange metamorphosis occurs, transforming angelic babies into what can only be coined, “The Terrible Two’s.” We’ve all witnessed (and likely lived in our own beginning) the tantrums, throwing, screaming and other forms of toddler angst. Perhaps nothing is more frustrating to parents, babysitters or any other adult within earshot.

The Little Leaders Company has launched a “Diffuse the Terrible Two’s!” campaign geared at heightening public awareness of a powerful anti-Terrible agent: American Sign Language. Research indicates that one of the key sources for Terrible Two behavior is frustration. The mind of the child has simply outpaced the motor skills necessary to communicate orally. Teaching toddlers to sign can greatly reduce this frustration.

“Diffuse the Terrible Two’s” is a fun, simple and exciting program that engages your audience on many levels and occurs in 4 stages:

• Call for Participants. Parents are urged to submit home movies of their children exhibiting Terrible Two behavior. Parents are urged to visit our Diffuse Resource Center at www.GoLittleLeaders.com for program details and further information. Home movies are submitted directly to the station. Participants will be chosen and given a complimentary set of Little Leaders Series of DVDs, including multi-lingual and sign language content for toddlers.
• Introduction Show. The show introduces the audience to Little Leaders founder Bradley Silvius and the chosen participants. It is very personal, lively, informative, with select home movies included for added enjoyment and humor.
• The Program. Participants agree to spend 15 minutes per day for one month using the Fundy Pack provided by The Little Leaders Company. The Fundy Pack is the essential, fundamental signs that every child should know and is included in the “Little Moses” DVD (March, 2006). For shows in advance of the release date, special advance copies of the Fundy Pack will be provided. You should plan to intermittently check in, film, and update the audience along the way.
• The Grand Finale. After one month, Bradley Silvius and the participants reunite to share their experience and offer real-world feedback for the audience.
