Macworld Booth 2501 - When you want access to USB 2.0 cameras, hard drives, iPods, keyboard/mouse and more from a distance while retaining your computer connection, Gefen’s USB 2.0 Long-Range Extender can help.

This small sender and receiver system allows any USB 2.0 device to be connected to the computer from up to 330-feet

(100m) away. It uses one, industry-standard CAT-5 cable to connect the sender to the receiver streamlining cable costs while retaining a high degree of reliability.

Both hi- and low-speed USB devices can be connected and transmitted with no delay. Transfer speeds reach up to 480 Mbps so high-bandwidth graphics and interactive gaming systems can be used at full performance.

The Gefen USB 2.0 LR Extender works with all Mac and PC computers and supports today’s popular operating systems including MacOS and Windows.

The receiver offers two USB ports to drive USB devices at the remote location, making it ideal for setting up remote workstations. A printer and keyboard/mouse could be extended to the optimal location away from the computer.

System set-up is easy; no installation of drivers is required. The sender connects to the computer, while the receiver connects to the two extended USB devices. One CAT-5 cable links local and remote locations, while an external power supply is only necessary at the remote location.
