Unilabs creates a unified brand presence in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino and expands its service offer in medical imaging

Unilabs has brought all its laboratories in French-speaking Switzerland and Ticino together under the Unilabs name, as of January 20, 2006. Some of these laboratories were still using the names they had prior to their integration into Unilabs. This decision clarifies the Group’s presence in these regions and allows all the laboratories to benefit from Unilabs’ scientific reputation. The decision will also encourage closer scientific collaboration between the laboratories, which will remain at the same premises and continue to provide the local high-quality service expected by patients and the medical profession.

Unilabs has also announced its active role in the creation of a new medical-imaging centre, which will open in Lausanne in June 2006. This centre will provide the region’s medical profession with diagnostic expertise in breast diseases, prenatal care and gynaecological imaging, complementing the services already offered by Unilabs in the canton of Vaud.
