ACT Conferencing Expands in Asia Pacific Region

Provider of on-demand audio, web and video conferencing services to serve the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Plus Two

HONG KONG— Dec. 17, 2008 — ACT Conferencing is expanding its presence in the Asia Pacific region to include the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Plus Two. ACT, a provider of on-demand audio, web and video conferencing services, is extending its well established footprint in Asia to support channel partners operating in the 10 Southeast Asian countries that make up ASEAN, plus two additional East Asian nations: China and South Korea. This development is a direct result of increasing demand for ACT’s collaborative conferencing services.

To support its continued growth in the Asia Pacific region, ACT recently appointed Sunny Au as the channel manager of Asia. Au joined the ACT team with 10 years of experience in the conferencing industry, including several years as a sales director at Genesys Conferencing. Prior to that, he served as a sales manager at Premiere Conferencing.

“We are in an interesting position,” said Au. “While the global marketplace is experiencing more ebbs than flows, ACT is consistently seeing growth around the globe. This is because at a time when travel budgets are slashed and people are expected to do more with fewer resources, on-demand conferencing solutions are a must-have.”

In addition to expanding its partnerships in the Asia Pacific region, ACT is becoming more actively involved in local organizations. ACT participates in the Information Technology & Telecommunication committee which devises initiatives focused on conducting business in China and liaising with Chinese businesses and government organizations.
